Contact the Pharmacy and transfer a prescription

Call, visit, or use the online service (if available) of the pharmacy where you want to transfer your prescription.

Provide them with the details of your current pharmacy (name, location, and phone number).

Share your prescription information:

• Medication name(s)
• Dosage
• Prescription number (if you have it)

Wait for the Transfer

Prescription transfers can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more depending on how quickly both pharmacies process the request. Some transfers, especially for controlled substances, may take longer.
